Step Daughter, and private conducting pupil of the late SFYS founder Carmen Nappo, now in her 43rd year as conductor and teacher of the South Florida Youth Symphony organization, Marjorie has guided the organization to a superb level of programming, including conducting the Youth Symphony twice in Carnegie Hall, teaching, touring locally and internationally, and initiating the small ensemble and training division development. Marjorie became the Executive Director 13 years ago, and holds the podium for the youth symphony. She has secured and appointed the finest musical staff, who are dedicated to the personal development of our communities’ young talent. She is an active teacher and performer, serving as adjunct French horn instructor for Miami Dade College, Kendall for 16 years, as well as continuing education trumpet instructor, and private studio teacher of both instruments. She performs regularly with the Miami’s Top Brass Quintet, serves as Principal Horn In the Hallandale Symphonic Pops Orchestra, and Horn and Trumpet Instructor at Westminster Christian School. She is serving her 2nd six year term on the National Board of the Youth Orchestra Division of the League of American Orchestras. Marjorie is listed in the 10th edition of Who's Who In Music International.
