Violinist, and teacher, studied at the Havana National School of the Arts, received a full scholarship to study at the Moscow Tchaikowsky Conservatory. She returned to Cuba to become a teacher at the Havana School of the Arts, and performed with the Santiago Symphony Orchestra. In 1991 Rosa came to south Florida and has performed in the Palm Beach Opera, the Miami Symphony, The Symphony of the Americas, the Miami Chamber Symphony, various festivals, and solo engagements with renowned Cuban pianist and composer Jose Maria Vitier, most recently at Dade County Auditorium on January 26, 2014. As an active string teacher in Dade County public schools for 21 years, Rosa was awarded  “Teacher of the year” twice and is now among the 200 quarter finalists for this years Grammy  Awards for Music Education
