Begining Strings Training

Youth  from age 4 can join us to begin to experience the joy of music at the South Florida Youth Symphony . Classes are held on Sunday Afternoons, with beginners at 1:00 PM and possibly 3:00 PM depending on enrollment. Students are able to choose violin, viola, cello or bass as their instrument to aid in the development of their tools for success in life; concentration, self esteem, pride in accomplishment, dedication to a group and the group cause. Parent participation with the teacher and child is required in this class development, and as the child moves through the levels, the parent student relationship grows and blossoms. Competition & Travel Program

Each season the Youth Symphony trys to plan a musical adjudicated trip for the most advanced students. Travel opportunities are chosen by their significance in the education of the students to their wider communities, country and world of music. Besides some close at home run-outs to play for seniors , or for families at  festivals, the “Festival” tour orchestras have won top trophies, accolades and honors at competitions and concerts in New York, Washington D.C., Orlando, The Bahamas Cruise Festivals, Vienna Austria, Grand Cayman and Nicaragua. “FUN” Fundraising is always a part of the trip experience to help families reduce this extra cost to their budgets. Travel is encouraged as part of the development of the Whole Child.

THIS YEAR we will participate in the Heritage Music Festival in Washington D.C. for the Inauguration ceremonies of the next President of the United States.. Trip will be from January 19 to the 23rd.  Sign on NOW to perform or travel with us..
